I'm due in May too!
My due date is (as of now) May 3rd, but we'll find out more info next week.
I am having a 3D ultrasound on the 17th. They are going to run extra tests in this pregnancy and do more ultrasounds/sonograms due to my second child's medical history (autism and epilepsy). I am really huge, and have went from totally flat tummy to looking like I'm 5-6 months preggers. I feel the baby moving and kicking all the time, feels like an octopus. (Started feeling at 8 and half weeks!) In my 1st sonogram, it looked like two faces and sacs..so we'll be finding out if it's twins....or if I'm possibly further along.

I am so excited...so many answers should be found out during that ultrasound, especially the "what will he/she/they look like", lol.

I am REALLY hoping for twins, as this is prob my last pregnancy. I really wish I could have twins: boy and girl...and my daughter (age 3) swears that there's "a baby girl for me and a baby boy for bubba in mommy's tummy"...she tells EVERYONE that. lol I'd hate to see her disappointed!

Hi everyone!

Wow--did I ever have to search to find this post.. hahaha. We sure are a quiet group. I hope everyone is feeling much better. As for myself, my nausea has gone away! I will still have it probably about once a week, but not for long, and maybe not even that often, whereas before it was CONSTANT. So I feel MUCH better. I am really enjoying my pregnancy now!
I am 17 week and 5 days, and you can now definitely tell that I am pregnant. I've been thinking that you could tell for weeks, but I've been hearing more comments on how "cute" my belly looks lately. And today I even had a stranger at work come up to me and jokingly tell me he had a really good diet book. He was very sweet about it--it was about a 70 year old man. He asked me all sorts of questions about the pregnancy, and wished me good luck. It actually made me feel really good. I'm not sure why... Anyway, hope everyone else is doing good. I am looking forward to reading more May mommy posts!

Well everyone........

as most know we were POSSIBLY having twins. So we went today to specialist for a 2 hour sonogram. The tech moved and moved and scanned EVERYWHERE. Found 2 cysts on right ovary, 1 cyst on left.......but no second baby! (yes i'm disappointed)

However, a surprise anyways...
one baby......... boy! The tech and I watched as he proudly flipped his bum into the air, and stuck is "best feature" forward....lol he did it TWICE!

As of now due date stays same, I go back in 5 weeks (Dec 22) for another ultrasound. So far NO birth defects were detected. However, baby is measuring at 17 weeks and 4 days........which if they change it will push my due date to April 27, 07!

My AFP test isn't back yet, and the specialist said that I have a 20% chance of delivering premature again. And with my son being autistic and epileptic, that increases my chances to 5-10% of ONE or BOTH problems being present in this one, however sonogram won't detect that. We'll have to wait and see...

Wow been a while since I updated everyone.
So far all ultrasounds, sonograms, bloodwork, tests, ect have shown up normal. My chances of premature birth increases to 20% more chance, but we'll be fine. As for autism goes, they said this baby has a 6% chance more of getting it than most...5% chance this baby will also have epilepsy. 15% chance he'll have both.

Yes, a boy- that's what we're expecting. He's a big one too! LOL He is due May 3, but I wouldn't be surprised if he came in April. Although at times I feel like he'll be here in March! I am huge...feel like I could pop any day now, lol. Backaches, braxton hicks, and just total exhaustion have been most of my symptoms lately. And excessive peeing, drinking, eating- but my gestational diabetes tests were norm!

We chose the name Elijah, still do not have a middle name. I'm beginning to think he'll be without one, or maybe one will come to mind when I see his face...whichever...
