I did it...

Question: I made a appointment with my PS for a consultant for , it is for 7-31-06...

I'm looking to have my inner/outer thighs, lowers abs, and hip area done.... Is this a lot to have done all at the same time???

I know I will have tons more qestions as they come up.... I am going to get to work on reading post here on the Lipo Board, are the any particular post here that I should be looking for to better prepare myself for the consult as well as the surgery???

Thank you,
Lezza

Answer:
Congrats on your first step! The areas you want done dont seem like to much, it is almost what I had done. There have been several threads ag about what questions to ask at the consult. I will pass on my best advise to you as I did on the other threads. Carry paper and pen around with you now. You will think of a million questions to ask, and when you finally get there, you will remember about 2 Reading through the posts here will help you come up with alot of questions and give you alot of info.

Lezza...recovery from is not like other surgeries..and I have not yet gotten to creating and posting a sticky here like the BA boards....will have to work on it.

I suggests digital to share with your PS to make sure you are on the same page. Many find out post lipo their Dr was not as aggressive as they had envisioned and some PS had cc limits that they never knew about. Also discuss revision policies ..quite common:)

You can see a lot of my bruising in these pics..pw is simple:

Here is an old post:
Lipo:
I sometimes think the early days post lipo are the easiest because you expect some type of discomfort but one does not expect the prolonged soreness.
What will happen to most is the following post lipo:
day 10-14-hard,lumpy, firm areas will be found where you had lipo-some describe it as a kind of ropey feeling too in spots..especially inner thighs and belly

2 weeks on-periods of intense itching...it is the nerves regenerating..not much helps..it makes you sorer to scratch..lotions will only give you a few minutes relief....sometimes very hot showers will help....itching can come and go over the next 4-5 months

stiffness, tightness in moving-occurs in inner thighs, and under arms and neck areas lipo'd...gentle stretching and massaging helps-can last 4-5 months and changes daily

Swelling..one day good...next day a lot of swelling-this occurs up to 6 months and often up to a year...no rhyme or reason. Compression s help a LOT with this

numbness of -can last up to 6-12 months...itching occurs when feeling starts to come back

lipo of inner/outer thighs/flanks/hips-incredibly sensitive to sit or turn from side to side as when in a bed and also to sit on toilet-lasts about 4 months.

A lot depends on how much you had done but seems to be the average for many here.
And..is it worth it? YES YES YES!!!!!!!

Hi Leeza! I am having all those areas done, plus my inner knees, so it's certainly possible to have all that done at once. My surgery is going to take 4 hours though, which is the max amount of time my PS will spend on at one time, so the amount I'm having done is right at the upper limit it seems.

My surgery will be the day after your consultation!

OMG Miki! I had never seen your preop pics!!! What a wonderful transformation girl!

Leeza....HI guess who???? HA HA! What Miki said in her last post about the soreness and the lumps is so true....also I agree about the limits of removal....and the aggressivenee. Like I said my ps is VERY aggressive, but his staff warned me preop about that and the pain he causes...but I was glad in the end. I had a total of over 8000cc removed....but the first was only 5000 which was his limit due to so many other things I was having done...the other 3000 came out with revisions...I am sure there is at least another 8000 in there I could afford to remove, but I am done.....

Hi Jothom,

How exciting is that girl!!! I will be keeping up on your recovery to see how things are going with you... I will be thinking about you on 8-1-06... What time do you go in, are you having yours done at a hospital?

It's so funny, my 1st BA I was just so darn excited that I really did not have any fear, now 2nd BA, a little more ed about, but all went well, but that was a longer recovery...

But I will be very honest -- I'm a lot nervous about the lipo... I did take the first step and made the appt for the consult... After talking to his nurse and already full of question, she put my fear at ease for now anyways...lol

Jo, I am soooo happy and excited for you, I know you will do awesome...

Please update me as soon as you are able....

BTW: Is that a of you by your username???
